You’re not a jacket in an attic that can be recycled after you are gone. Life is racing by, and if we are not careful, you and I will look up, and our shot at it will have passed us by. Some people don’t bother with such thoughts. They live and die and never ask why. But you aren’t numbered among them. You have been chosen. It’s not enough for you to do well. You want to do good. You want your life to matter. You want to live in such a way that the world will be glad you did. Ours is the wealthiest generation of Christians ever. We have ample resources. The problem is not in the supply; the problem is in the distribution. God has given this generation, our generation, everything we need to alter the course of human suffering. So, let me ask you a question. When your grandchildren discover you lived during a day in which 1.75 billion people were poor and 1 billion were hungry, how will they judge your response? You and I are created by a great God to do great works. What if we gathered together and rocked the world with hope? What if we followed the example of the first Jerusalem church? Batman The Dark Knight rises

Synopsis It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night. I have made it a practice not to tell the story details in my reviews, it has always astonished me how reviewer's tell the film's story in so much depth, that it truly ruins the enjoyment of discovery. The movie is filmed as enormous as any blockbuster possibly could be. I really enjoyed the film, yet it did not posses the qualities of true greatness. It spent far too much time pressing up the action and volume and far less time in dialogue of any true character depth. If you like simply that, just fast and furious,just buckle up and watch the show of the impossible. We have been inoculated that films are now more video game and less of the art of cinema. Nolan is an artist in his own right, he painted a grand contrast of good and evil, played it full throttle while keeping the crowd wondering when the roller coaster will take the full revolution. It was a a nice change from the usual "this is where this movie will go now"film. There is some complexion of the actors. I felt that Anne Hathaway was Magnificent, bouncung between evil witch and opportunist back and forth like a ping pong game. Gary Oldman was forgettable as the empty commissioner, Morgan Freeman is a likeable solid actor, even if he a nutcase in real life. All and all, the cast was well constructed and weaved together. Micheal Cane plays himself, he is Alfred. Bale was solid, as expected. Director Nolan does what he does as well as anyone who gets to play master of disaster. I also am entertained by the new set up Batman's toys that he puts into play. As to the politics that has been widely discussed, I would ask you to judge which side of the isle this film makes into the villains. If you loving the constant parade of action films with super heroes, don't miss this Blockbuster. Otherwise, nearly three hours is a long time to have your senses bomb barded with violence, explosion, death and mayhem. I refuse to give you an obvious spoiler alert. Have a great time, or stay home. One last thing, between the early look pre film entertainment and the dozen upcoming films and the commercial plugged in between it was like being held hostage.

Alexander Payne (Sideways, Election) brilliantly penned this movie script. I still agree with the Academy voters that "Midnight in Paris" had the best celluloid content. Payne's stilted tale of blended complexities adds a depth to this film.
